How to Install — 4 Steps
Mount the strip, connect power, seal everything up. 30 minutes start to finish.
Plan your route
Before you stick anything, plan where the strip will run. The 120cm length covers most fairings end-to-end, but measure your target area first. Mark the strip at 10cm intervals so you can trim cleanly if needed. Avoid heat sources (exhaust) and moving parts (swingarm pivot points).
Clean the surface
Alcohol wipe the mounting surface — no wax, no dust, no oil. The 3M adhesive needs a clean start. Let it dry fully before you press the strip on. If you're mounting to plastic, a light scuff with 400-grit sandpaper helps the bond stick long-term.
Mount and route the strip
Peel the backing and press the strip firmly along your planned route. Use the included adhesive clips every 20–30cm for added security — especially on high-vibration bikes. Route the power wire toward your switch or accessory circuit. Leave a service loop near the connector so you can disconnect it for maintenance.
Connect to power and test
Connect the red wire to a switched 12V source (through a fuse holder if your kit didn't include one). Connect the black wire to ground — a clean frame bolt, paint-free. Test the circuit before sealing everything up. Once you're satisfied, zip-tie the wire runs and apply dielectric grease to the connector.
Tools you'll need
- Alcohol wipe and clean cloth
- Measuring tape
- Zip-ties and dielectric grease
- Wire strippers (if extending power wire)
- Optional: adhesive clips (included in kit)
