How to Install — 4 Steps
Battery and charging install is straightforward. Here's what you need to know before you start.
Choose the right battery for your bike
Check your bike's CCA (cold cranking amps) requirement and physical dimensions before ordering. The 10Ah Li-ion fits most standard battery boxes. If your bike has high draw accessories (heated grips, aux lights, GPS), consider upgrading to the 18V regulator to handle the extra load.
Set up the smart charger correctly
Connect the charger to the battery terminals — red to positive, black to negative — before plugging into mains. The 3-stage algorithm will auto-detect your battery's condition. Never leave a lead-acid battery below 20% charge; the float mode keeps it balanced without overcharging.
Wire the kill switch on the positive side
Install the kill switch between the battery positive terminal and the bike's main fuse/distribution block. The switch interrupts the positive lead only — do not wire into the negative side. Make sure the boot is seated and the mount is secure on the handlebar before riding.
Connect the tender lead for long-term storage
Route the SAE lead from the battery terminals to a convenient access point (under the seat or behind the tail fairing). Keep at least 30cm of wire between the battery and the connector to prevent vibration wear. During storage, connect the maintainer monthly and check the battery voltage stays above 12.4V.
